Avaunt® insecticide is very effective on target pests while minimally effecting beneficial insects and predators.
Avaunt® is an effective insecticide to help manage Apple pest control. Avaunt® has a unique mode of action so it is effective on target pests while having minimal effect on beneficial insects and predators. It does this by blocking the sodium pathway within the insect’s nervous system. Avaunt® is primarily taken up through ingestion but also through direct application and contact with treated plant surfaces. Avaunt® can be described as pro-insecticide, which means it does not become effective until activated inside the gut of the insect.
Avaunt® will stop target insect larvae feeding within 4 hours and they will die in 2-3 days. Having the insects stop consuming your crop in such a short time helps reduce damage, and improve crop quality. Avaunt® residual crop protection will last from 7-14 days depending on crop, climatic conditions, and pest species allowing for greater Apple pest control.
